With the 25k radius upon us, I went to a fishing spot dad took us too, 30 years ago. This black fish sucked the worm off the hook twice, 3rd time not so lucky. Unhooked to fight another day.

Now fishing the local lake to catch one of those stonkers the put in last week

A mates mum caught this just after we left yesterday. Top notch Fisher lady she is.

not much fishing goin on here at present, i hear the river is producing a couple of big green ones , but the little brown an bows are hard to come by , almost none i nthe streams until these fingerlings grow up

Just before Christmas I threw some money at my tinny to replace the one I lost last summer.

Having done that I have been getting out as often as I can and averaging 1-4 fish per session. I am abit shit on taking action shots but here are some once I have them home.

I also get tempted to flicking the rivers but summer isnt an easy time for the trout.

Went out again this arvo, dropped a big rainbow at the side of the boat that would have been in the range of my pb.

This brown saved the day for me, great fight and top fish coming in at 51cm.

Yeh mate, I go thru phases. At the moment blokes are bagging out on mud eyes under floats of and arvo but with my new set up im gearing up for when the water temp drops. Its an enjoyable arvo after work.

A nice eater. A chef gave me a great but simple recipie for roasted trout. It's a game changer for me when cooking our finny friends.

Sprinkle the trout with salt, pepper and lemon juice inside and out. Then stuff it with grated carrot and grated leek in roughly 50/50 proportions. Wrap in tin foil and bake.
